AI cites the brands with the strongest review signal
Scan 8 review platforms, benchmark your rating and volume against local competitors, and see what AI systems currently infer about your brand from your review footprint.
AI product recommendations are shaped by review data
When a buyer asks an AI system which brand or product to choose, the AI draws on its training data — which includes content from review platforms. Brands with strong, consistent review presence across multiple platforms have a denser review signal in that data. Brands missing from key platforms have a thinner signal and are cited less often, especially in comparison queries.
Review Signals identifies which of the 8 most-indexed review platforms you appear on, how your rating and review volume compare to your local competitors, and how fast you are accumulating new reviews — the three signals that drive AI citation confidence.
The platforms AI systems index for review signals
A Google SERP query for your brand and city is run for each scan. The tool checks whether you appear in organic results for each of these platforms, and extracts your rating and review count from rich snippets where available.

Six data points from one 10-credit scan
Brand rating and review count
Your current Google Maps rating and total review count, pulled either from a direct Google Business Profile URL or from a text search on your brand name and city. Both sources are tried; the direct GBP URL is used when available for precision.
Platform presence across 8 review sites
A SERP scan runs the query "[brand] [city] reviews" and checks which of the 8 monitored platforms appear in organic results. Each platform shows found/not found, the listing URL if found, and the rating and review count extracted from rich snippets.
Competitor benchmarks
Up to 10 competitors are identified from the same Google Maps search used to locate your brand. Their ratings and review counts are averaged to give you a competitor baseline — so you can see whether you're above or below the local field.
Review velocity
If a previous snapshot exists, the tool calculates how many reviews you gained since the last scan, over how many days, and your daily review rate. Velocity is a distinct signal from volume — AI systems and local algorithms weight fresh, consistent review activity.
AI inference summary
A 2-sentence plain-language analysis of what AI systems (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) likely infer about your brand given its rating, review count, and platform coverage — written by GPT and specific to your data, not a generic template.
Health alert
A health status fires automatically if your rating is below the competitor average, your review count is below the competitor average, or you are missing from more than 2 of the 8 monitored platforms. No threshold to configure — the comparison runs against actual competitor data.
Your rating vs. the field, not an arbitrary benchmark
Competitors are identified from the same Google Maps search that locates your brand — up to 10 businesses returned by the same query. Their ratings and review counts are averaged. The health alert compares you to this real competitor baseline, not a fixed threshold.
Illustrative. Competitor data is live from the same Google Maps search as your brand lookup.
Volume is a snapshot. Velocity is a trend.
The tool compares your current review count to your previous scan's count and calculates how many reviews you gained, over how many days, and your average daily review rate. Velocity data appears from the second scan onward — the first scan establishes your baseline.

Common questions
What exactly does the scan check?
Each scan does two things. First, it looks up your brand on Google Maps — either via a direct Google Business Profile URL you provide, or via a text search on your brand name and city. This gets your rating and review count. Second, it runs a Google SERP query for '[brand] [city] reviews' and checks whether you appear on each of 8 review platforms: Google Business Profile, Yelp, TripAdvisor, Facebook, Trustpilot, Better Business Bureau, Angi, and Houzz.
How are competitors identified?
Competitors come from the same Google Maps text search that locates your brand. The top 20 results are scanned; anything that doesn't match your brand name is treated as a competitor. Up to 10 are retained. Their ratings and review counts are averaged to give you a competitor baseline for comparison.
What is review velocity and how is it calculated?
Velocity is calculated by comparing your current review count against the count from your previous snapshot. The tool computes how many reviews you gained, over how many days elapsed between the two scans, and your daily review rate. The first scan you run establishes the baseline; velocity data appears from the second scan onward.
What does the AI inference summary say?
The summary is a 2-sentence analysis written specifically for your brand's data. It describes what AI systems like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity likely infer about your business based on its current rating, review volume, and which platforms it appears on — including how you compare to competitors.
When does the health alert fire?
Three conditions trigger the alert: (1) your rating is below the competitor average, (2) your review count is below the competitor average, or (3) you are absent from more than 2 of the 8 monitored platforms. Any one of these is enough. If none apply, the scan returns a healthy status.
Why do review platforms matter for ecommerce AI citations?
When a buyer asks an AI system which product or brand to choose, the AI draws on its training data — which includes review platform content. Brands with strong, consistent review presence across multiple platforms have a denser review signal in that training data. Brands missing from key platforms have a thinner signal and are cited less often, especially in comparison queries.
Does providing a Google Business Profile URL improve the results?
Yes. When you provide a GBP URL in your brand profile, the tool uses it to perform a direct place lookup on Google Maps, which is more precise than a text search. The text search is used as a fallback and is always run for competitor identification regardless.
