How scoring works

A 0-100 score with three tiers

Each of the 8 fields has a weighted point value. Full marks for a complete field, partial credit for an incomplete one, zero for missing.

80-100
Strong

All major fields present. Page is structured for AI citation.

50-79
Partial

Some fields missing. AI may cite the product inconsistently or omit price and availability.

0-49
Weak

Critical fields absent. AI cannot reliably cite product name, price, or brand from structured data.

The 8 fields — weighted by AI citation impact

15pts

Product Name

The product name — required for every AI citation.

20pts

Description

Must be at least 80 characters. Shorter descriptions get partial credit only.

10pts

Brand

Brand entity with @type and name — needed for brand disambiguation.

15pts

Offer Price

price or lowPrice inside an Offers object.

5pts

Price Currency

ISO currency code inside the Offers object.

10pts

Availability

schema.org/InStock, OutOfStock, or PreOrder availability URL.

15pts

Rating

aggregateRating with a numeric ratingValue. Partial credit if aggregateRating exists but ratingValue is missing.

10pts

Category

Product category — helps AI systems classify the product correctly.

What it does

Audit and fix in one step

Six capabilities from URL input to ready-to-paste schema.

Live URL fetch

Paste any product page URL. The auditor fetches the live HTML, finds every JSON-LD block in the page head, and locates the Product schema — including schemas nested inside an @graph array.

8-field coverage check

Checks the 8 fields that matter most to AI systems: name, description (≥80 chars), brand, offer price, price currency, availability, aggregate rating, and category. Each field is weighted by its citation impact.

Partial-credit detection

Description shorter than 80 characters, or an aggregateRating block without a ratingValue? The auditor catches those partial-credit states and flags them separately from fully missing fields.

AI-generated fixed schema

After the audit, gpt-4o-mini reads the page content and generates a complete, valid Product schema with every field populated. Works even when the page has no schema at all — not just a patch, a full rebuild.

Ready to paste

The fixed schema is formatted and ready to paste directly into a script tag. One copy click. No reformatting needed.

20 credits per audit

Each audit — fetch, analysis, and schema generation — costs 20 credits. No subscription tier restriction. Audit any number of product pages.

Why partial credit matters

Present is not the same as complete

Most schema checkers give you a pass/fail per field. The auditor distinguishes between a field that is present and complete, present but insufficient, and fully missing. Two states get partial credit:

Description under 80 characters

A description exists but is too short to be useful for AI extraction. Scores 40% of the 20-point description weight instead of full marks. The audit shows the exact character count.

aggregateRating without ratingValue

A rating object is present but the numeric ratingValue is missing. AI systems cannot cite a star rating without the value. Scores 40% of the 15-point rating weight.

Everything else — fully missing

Any other absent field scores zero. Name, brand, price, currency, availability, and category are either present or not — no partial state.

FAQ

Common questions

What is a Product schema and why does it matter for AI?

A Product schema is structured data (JSON-LD) embedded in your page that tells AI systems — and search engines — the exact name, price, brand, availability, and rating of a product in a machine-readable format. Without it, AI systems must guess these details from your page text. With it, they can cite your product with confidence and accuracy.

What does the auditor actually check?

Eight fields, each weighted by AI citation impact: Product Name (15 pts), Description at least 80 characters (20 pts), Brand entity (10 pts), Offer Price (15 pts), Price Currency (5 pts), Availability status (10 pts), Aggregate Rating with ratingValue (15 pts), and Category (10 pts). Total maximum is 100 points. Each audit costs 20 credits.

What happens if my page has no Product schema at all?

The auditor still works. It reads your page content — title, meta description, headings, and body text — and the AI generates a complete Product schema from scratch. You get a valid, populated schema even when none existed before.

What does a score of 80, 50, or below mean?

80 or above means all major fields are present and the page is in good shape for AI citation. 50 to 79 means some fields are missing or incomplete — AI may cite the product inconsistently. Below 50 means critical fields are absent and AI cannot reliably cite product name, price, or brand from structured data.

What is the difference between a missing field and a partial credit?

A missing field has no data at all. A partial credit means data exists but does not meet the minimum threshold. Specifically: a description under 80 characters gets partial credit (40% of the 20-point weight), and an aggregateRating block that exists but lacks a ratingValue also gets partial credit.

How do I use the fixed schema the auditor generates?

Click Copy schema. Paste it into a script tag with type="application/ld+json" in your page head — or in your CMS's structured data field. The schema is pre-formatted and valid JSON-LD. No editing needed unless you want to adjust specific values.
