Editorial Links

Build authority naturally as you publish

AuthorityStack can automatically place contextually relevant editorial links between participating brands during content creation. Links are selected for topical relevance and placed naturally within articles, with non-reciprocal linking, placement limits, cooldown periods, and quality controls built in – so your content can earn relevant do-follow links, without manual outreach or link management.

Why it's safe

Built with quality controls from day one

Google's link spam guidance calls out reciprocal, high-volume cross-linking by name – the pattern that undermines most link-building tactics. Editorial Links is designed around that guidance from day one: every link is non-reciprocal, capped, and placed only where the topic is a genuine match.

Once your brand links to a participating site, that site can never link back to you – not after a cooldown, not ever. Every pair is throttled to once per 90 days, every brand has a monthly limit on how many links it can give and receive, and a link only ever gets placed where the topic is a genuine match. The result reads like what it actually is: real editorial cross-referencing between real, unrelated businesses.

How it works

From opt-in to a placed link, handled automatically

01

Turn it on and list your pages

Editorial Links is off by default. Opt in per brand, then list the pages on your site you'd like to receive links – a URL, a title, a short description used to match it to relevant articles, and a priority for AuthorityStack to break ties with.

02

AuthorityStack finds the genuine matches

Every time an article is generated for a participating brand, AuthorityStack scans the network of participating sites – filtered by non-reciprocal linking rules, the 90-day cooldown, and monthly placement limits – then ranks candidates for topical relevance and reserves a slot so two articles never double-book the same partner.

03

Links only count once they're actually placed

After the article is written, AuthorityStack checks the finished piece against what was reserved. Only links that genuinely made it into the article are recorded and counted toward the monthly limits – placing none is a fine outcome, and reserved slots that go unused are released back for someone else.

The safeguards

Six rules built into every placement

Every one of these is enforced automatically, from a durable ledger of every placement – not trusted in the moment.

Non-reciprocal, by design

Once your brand links to another, that brand can never link back to you. Not on a cooldown – permanently blocked. This is the one rule that makes reciprocal cross-linking structurally impossible instead of just discouraged.

90-day cooldown between any two brands

The same two brands can't link to each other again – in either direction – for 90 days after the last placement, so no pairing ever looks like a standing arrangement.

Monthly placement limits

Every brand is capped at giving and receiving 30 editorial links per rolling month, tracked from a durable placement ledger, not trusted in the moment.

Relevance is a hard gate

Candidates are ranked by real topical relevance using the same embedding model that powers your internal linking – a link only ever gets placed where the topic genuinely fits, never by priority alone.

2 editorial links per article, max

At most two editorial links per article, always to two different brands – never stacked in the same paragraph, and never in an FAQ or conclusion section.

Every listed page is verified live

Before a page becomes eligible to receive links, AuthorityStack checks that it actually resolves – comparing it against a live-site control request to catch soft-404s – so no brand ends up linking to a dead page.

FAQ

Questions about Editorial Links

What is Editorial Links?

Editorial Links automatically places contextually relevant, do-follow editorial links between participating AuthorityStack brands as your articles are written. It's free, opt-in, and built with non-reciprocal linking, placement limits, cooldowns, and quality controls – so every link is a genuine editorial match, never a reciprocal trade.

Is it safe for SEO, or does it look like a link scheme?

Yes – it's designed around Google's link spam guidance specifically. Reciprocal, high-volume cross-linking is the exact pattern flagged as a link scheme, so Editorial Links makes reciprocity permanently impossible, limits how many links any brand can give or receive, and only ever links where the topic is genuinely relevant.

Am I guaranteed to receive a certain number of links?

No – the monthly limits are a cap, not a deliverable. Opting in and listing relevant pages makes your brand eligible to receive links as other participating brands publish content that's a genuine topical match; how many you receive depends on how much relevant content gets written across the network.

Do I have to do anything to receive links?

Just opt in and list the pages on your site you'd like to receive links, with a title and short description so AuthorityStack can match them to relevant articles. From there, finding matches, placing links, and tracking them all happens automatically.

Can links go both ways between two brands I own?

Brands under common ownership can link to each other, but every safeguard still applies – non-reciprocal linking, the 90-day cooldown, monthly placement limits, and the relevance gate all work exactly the same way.

What does it cost?

Nothing extra – Editorial Links is included free with every brand. It's opt-in and off by default until you turn it on.
